The objective of our kimono centre is to provide an authentic and quality kimono experience that is comparable to what you can find in Japan.  We hope to spread the beauty and joy of the kimono to the people of Penang through events, shows, graduations, parties and rentals of our kimonos.  

Kimono Show

We curate and produce shows involving a full range of kimonos for display and shows.

 

Kimono Rental

We rent a range of kimonos to individuals, studio photography and for corporate events.   

 

Kimono Course 

Those who wish to learn to wear kimono themselves are taught as private students starting with the beginner's course that covers wearing of Yukata and obi arrangements (usually 4 ~ 6 lessons). Once deemed competent, you can advance to the next level to learn how to wearing the more formal kimonos.  *Note: Courses are on wait-list and new sessions start periodically. Please refer to the schedule of events below.

Kitsuke Members - by invitation only

Sessions are held weekly (sometimes twice weekly) and training is on-going. You will be expected to learn how to dress people in Yukata, Kimono and Furisode. Participation at Pink Hibiscus Kimono event is expected.
